Spaces for Hire

Built in 1989, the Hamlyn-Harris Pavilion is named after a long serving life member of the Mt Gravatt Show Society, the late Guy Hamlyn-Harris.

Suitable For:
Trade Shows, Book Sales, Clothing sales, indoor sport

The building is divided into two separate hireable spaces. The Conference Room is located upstairs and the Memorial Hall is located downstairs.

Family celebrations, Wakes, small meetings

This Community Hall was originally the office building of the Evans Deakin Company at Rocklea. It was moved to the showgrounds in 1996, its refurbishment has seen it develop into a unique, multi-room venue for weddings and other private and corporate functions.

Weddings, engagements and other family celebrations, Wakes, large meetings

For hiring purposes the building is divided into two separate hireable spaces: the Upper Community Hall and the Lower Community Hall.

Suitable For:
Martial arts and other training classes, seminars and craft classes

The Conference Room is located upstairs in our main Hall.

Our largest grassed and fenced outdoor space used as the main showring during the Mt Gravatt Show. At 130m x 100m, this area is the perfect space for ticketed outdoor events

Suitable For:
Low impact activities such as Static Car & Truck Expos, Camping & Caravan Expo, sport and much more.

Positioned between Logan Road and our Main Arena, the Platform area at 100m x 80m is our preferred space for heavier impact events.

Suitable For:
Community festivals, general amusement activities and outdoor trade displays. Also provides a space for overflow parking for significant events.

The newest addition to the facilities at the Mt Gravatt Showgrounds is a Church we have transported from One Mile at Ipswich.  The refurbished Church was opened at the end of April 2019.

Positioned between the Hamlyn-Harris Pavilion and the Upper Community Hall, this outdoor, flat space is the perfect location for small gatherings, or under the stars, outdoor events

Suitable For:

Weddings, Pre-Event Outdoor Entertainment, Small Outdoor Expos.
