The Mt Gravatt Showgrounds are on Logan Road in the heart of Mt Gravatt, nestled at the bottom of Mt Gravatt mountain only 12km from Brisbane’s CBD. Home to the annual Mt Gravatt Show in July, individuals, community and business groups are welcome to hire one of the heritage styled buildings or grassed open spaces for regular or one-off events.
The Mt Gravatt Showgrounds are held in Trust for showgrounds, park and recreational purposes.
Located at 1644 Logan Road, Mt Gravatt the following venues are available:
· Memorial Hall
· Conference Room
· Community Halls (2)
· Church
· Hamlyn-Harris Pavilion
· Main Arena
· Platform Area
Home to the Mt Gravatt Markets, Mt Gravatt Mini-golf and Footgolf, Men’s Shed and Girl Guides.
While the Mt Gravatt Show attracts thousands each year, business and community groups and members use the site daily. Sporting groups play under the lights in the cool evenings on our grassed oval. The heritage Memorial and Community Hall buildings, and the Hamlyn-Harris Pavilion, are used for many events including community group meetings and workshops, clothing markets, yoga, sport and business training, weddings and family functions. The Platform is also regularly hired for events hosting several thousand people by local community and cultural groups such as Matsuri (Japanese Culture Festival) and the Deaf Culture Council of Queensland. Classic Car Shows and Circuses are also prominent on the calendar.
